Jasper Cillessen thanks and bids farewell to Barça supporters
The Dutch stopper will play for Valencia next season after three years at the Camp Nou
Jasper Cillessen recently completed his move to Valencia after three years at the Camp Nou. The goalkeeper wanted to thank Barça supporters for their respect and encouragement during his time at the club. This is the message he sent on Instagram:
"I would like to thank Barcelona for 3 amazing years. I had a great time and I am happy to have been part of FC Barcelona. I am also very proud and thankful for the support I got from the fans. So I would like to say: Thank you!! And see you soon!!"
The goalkeeper has joined Valencia in order to get more regular playing time after being stuck behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Barça.
Ter Stegen was one of the first people to reply to the stopper's message. "A serious professional, good teammate and friend. I enjoyed working together these past 3 years with you Jasper, always hard work and successful memories. Good luck with your new challenge and I look forward to playing against you next season. All the best!"
