Interview: "Pjanic has always loved Barcelona's style"
Adis Junuzovic, a close member of his circle, spoke to SPORT about the Juventus midfielder linked to Barca
Who better than Adis Junuzovic, a great friend and someone close to Miralem Pjanic, to know about Barcelona’s interest in him. SPORT asked him some questions about the Juve midfielder, a target for the Catalans.

Miralem is a player with extraordinary technique. He can play fast, with few touches and put the ball just where he wants it, because with his eyes he can see pathways that other players can’t even imagine. Always with his head up, to give perfect passes and many assists to team-mates. Don’t forget his great free-kicks.
Whoever saw him at Metz, Lyon, Roma and Juve would say the same.
He’s a great professional, I’ve never seen someone so determined and hardworking as him. He’s a smart boy, his team-mates and coaches love him a lot because he always give it all o the pitch. He’s an example to follow and for that he’s reached the top of the game.
Pjanic, at 30, can play across the midfield. Where do you think he’s best?
I like him best as a No 8 but he’s a very versatile player and is working well in the pivot for Maurizio Sarri’s Juve. It shows he’s one of the best midfielders in Europe.
It’s not by chance he’s won it all in Italy…
He’s had a great time in Italy. He’s a leader of the Bosnian team and in Italy he’s won it all, showing and confirming his enormous talent season after season. He was a revelation at Roma and a big protagonist but I’m especially impressed for what he’s done in Turin. His next objective is to win the Champions League, the one thing he doesn’t have.
Is Barca’s interest surprising?
No way. I don’t have to say it but playing for Barca has always been a dream for Pjanic. He doesn’t miss a Barca game because he’s totally in love with their marvellous way of playing and the club’s philosophy. Mire has the level to play for any club on the planet.
However, they say he’s always liked Real Madrid…
That’s not the case. The only thing true is that Pjanic loved Zinedine Zidane as a player. That’s the truth. On a footballing level Mire loves Barca DNA, there’s no doubt.
How do you think Pjanic reacted to Barca’s interest?
It’s not a problem, it doesn’t matter what happens. I know that Miralem will be 100% a professional in the time that he remains at Juventus. Today I can’t say if he will change clubs or not this summer, I’m telling the truth, but I’m certain that while he is at Juve he will give everything to win any title possible and keep winning with his great team-mates.
