'Corrielle dello Sport' have reported on what would be a complicated operation

Inter Milan intend to replace Lautaro Martinez with two players: Timo Werner and Joao Cancelo. According to 'Corrielle dello Sport,' the Italian side are thinking of a deal that would involve four clubs. Barcelona, Manchester City, RB Leipzig and Inter would have to come to various agreements to satisfy the desires of the Serie A club.

Barça want Lautaro but Inter don't want to let him go without guarantees of a replacement and a right-back. The chosen players are Werner and Cancelo. The idea they have is to for Barça to exchange Nelson Semedo for Cancelo with City and then include Semedo in the deal for Lautaro, in addition to cash which would fund a move for Werner.

The amount they have in mind is 80 million euros, which is more than enough to sign Werner. The German striker has scored 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga games this season. Inter are keen on the frontman, who is available for around 50 million euros.

Barça have offered Junior Firpo to Inter but the Italians aren't convinced on the former Spain U21 international. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing and Inter have also thought of Cavani as another option if they can't land Werner, who is also drawing interest from elsewhere. Barça have even been linked but Liverpool lead the chase.
