Barcelona will look to to business on Andre Gomes this summer. The midfielder is doing well at Everton and they want to sign him. They're not the only ones, though. Sport have learned that Inter are also keen.
Everton, aware of other offers, want to close a deal as soon as possible and not wait until the summer. They will pay around 25 million euros to make Gomes a permanent part of Marco Silva's squad. The English club and the player's agent (Wasserman), told Barça of the decision to push on with a move in a meeting a few weeks ago.
But Inter have stepped in and asked Gomes to wait. The Italians are waiting to see if they reach the Champions League again to see how much money they have. Therefore, they can't negotiate right now. Everton know that and want to finalise a transfer now.
The Premier League side remain confident, though, that Gomes will still be at Goodison Park next season.
