Inter want to negotiate for the midfielder despite being obliged to buy him
Inter Milan want to negotiate for Rafinha with FC Barcelona. A complicated objective. They have agreed to pay Barca 38 million euros for Rafinha, a deal which becomes active because they qualified for the Champions League. However to comply with Financial Fair Play, they cannot do the deal for the player they loaned this season.
Inter coach Lucian Spaletti say that they cannot keep Rafinha, but Inter Milan are designing a strategy to keep him. They need to pay Barca 38m euros before June 30 if they want him to stay in italy.
Inter are trying to negotiate a substantial discount on that price and to do so they will need the support of the player. They will pressure Barca, using Rafinha's desire to stay, for a lowering of the fee. Another option is to extend his loan.
