"Convince him to stay? We have an important project here which is visible to everyone"
Borja Valero, Inter Milan's Spanish midfielder, has praised the progress and performances of his teammate Lautaro Martinez, who is wanted by Barcelona.
"He's one of the players that has impressed me most, year on year, he's the one that has developed the most," he said. "He does not just score goals, but he also works hard for the team.
In an interview with Sportweek, Valero highlighted Lautaro's importance to Inter: "Convince him to stay? We have an important project here which is visible to everyone. We need him here with us."
On the possible restart of Serie A, the Inter midfielder said "it would only make sense if the situation is completely under control.
"We've been speaking as teammates, but at the moment it still seems a little way away. But if they tell us to play, we will make sure our voices are heard."
