Antonio Conte has asked for a substitute for when the Argentine ends up leaving

Lautaro Martinez is, along with Neymar, Barcelona's prime objective to reinforce their squad for next season. In Italy they are convinced he's lost, although Inter Milan won't put out a red carpet for him to leave Milan - they want to get as much as possible for him.

La Gazzetta dello Sport ran with the front page 'Assault for Lautaro', which is how they define Barcelona's strategy for getting the Argentine forward. They point out that the player has declared his love of wearing the Inter shirt but when such a huge team arrive, it's very hard to say no.

In fact, one of their columnists say that the Nerazzurri should start finding their replacement.

The player's agent has been in constant contact with Barca, although the Catalans don't want to pay his 111 million euro release clause. The intention is to negotiate and the deal will be done in a friendly fashion. In this sense Antonio Conte has told the club he will need a quality replacement for the forward.

Olivier Giroud has been linked as a replacement but he is not enough for Conte.
