New coach Antoine Conte wants the Barça midfielders this summer but he first needs to sell some players

Despite FC Barcelona insisting that Arturo Vidal won't leave the club this summer, Inter Milan - at the request of Antonio Conte - are keen to add the Chilean midfielder to their ranks. Ernesto Valverde is a fan of the physical style Vidal brings which is different from his other options. The player himself would prefer to spend another season at the Camp Nou and believes he'll have a greater role next season.

'Tuttosport' say Conte doesn't want just Vidal but also Ivan Rakitic too. The Croatian is available for the right price in this window but could be tempted to start a fresh challenge in Italy. Inter's objective is to challenge for the Serie A title and advance beyond the group stages of the Champions League.

THEIR PLAN

In order to bring in the two Barça heavyweights, Conte will first need to trim his squad of the deadwood. The coach wants to move on big earners Nainggolan and Joao Mario, as well as troubled striker Mauro Icardi. If he's able to free up another cash he'll then move to bring in his first choice midfielders.
