Inter Miami still dreaming of signing Barcelona forward Lionel Messi

Messi has sent a signed shirt to one of the club's co-owners this week

The MLS is a destination that is attractive to Lionel Messi, as he said in his interview with Jordi Evole. Those comments put a number of American sides on red alert but the team with the biggest chance of signing him in David Beckham's Inter Miami.

On June 30, Messi's contract expires with Barça and the new MLS franchise still hope that he could decide to join them, even though he's much more likely to continue at Camp Nou -- or in Europe.

The latest speculation comes after Messi sent a signed shirt to Marcelo Claure, one of the co-owners of Inter.

"Thanks to Leo Messi for sending me this shirt. We will look after it with a lot of care. The world of football is very small and I am sure our paths will cross," Claure wrote on Instagram posing with the shirt, which carried the message "For Marcelo, with love" and Messi's signature.
