The defender will be a wanted man if he runs his contract down at San Mames

Íñigo Martínez will have no shortage of offers this summer if, as expected, he does not renew his contract with Athletic Club.

Barcelona have had his signing under control for months, but there are teams trying to convince him to pick them. Inter Milan have already approached him to sound him a move out with the aim of making the Basque centre-back the replacement for Skriniar, who is certain to join PSG on a free transfer, according to journalist Marzo Barzaghi.

The Athletic defender is close to a return to action after overcoming an injury that has kept him out of action since November.

Meanwhile, he is awaiting a final renewal offer from his club, but all indications are that he will end up leaving San Mames and that his top priority is to sign for Barça.

That does not mean that he is not listening to other proposals, though, and Inter, as well as Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid, have reportedly made enquiries.

His intention is to sign for Barça, who wanted him last summer. Everything is pending on whether Barça will be able to sign players because of LaLiga's salary limit and that creates some concern for the player's camp.
