Injured Barça defender Jordi Alba won't feature again until 2022
Alba will miss at least three league games as he recovers from a knock
The year is over for Jordi Alba. The Barcelona defender forced a muscle injury to play in Munich on Wednesday and paid the price.
He lasted just half an hour before having to be taken off as Barça lost 3-0 to Bayern and were knocked into the Europa League.
Pending the tests to confirm the severity of the injury, everything already indicates he will not play again now until 2022.
It's a decision that has been taken by Barça's medical department in colloboration with coach Xavi Hernandez with the aim of having Alba fully fit in the New Year.
Alba will miss at least three games in LaLiga, against Osasuna, Elche and Sevilla, as well as the Diego Maradona friendly in Saudi Arabia against Boca Juniors.
