During Andres Iniesta's interview with SPORT, the midfielder spoke about Barcelona's signing of Jeison Murillo.

The decision to bring the Valencia centre-back in on loan for six months split supporters, with some believing coach Ernesto Valverde should have turned to the B team.

You have said more than once that you see youself as a coach, it's not tough to imagine the football you would like to play...

(Smiles) I have a clear idea based on football as I have liked to play it, which comes form the club I spent my whole life at. It's also true, though, that there are many variables, so we will see in the future.

Would Iniesta the coach have signed Murillo or gone to the academy?

I would do what the club have done. Assess all the situations and decide. Maybe the club [decided] that there's no player in the B team capable of doing that role.

That would be a little serious...

It's not a question of picking from the academy for the sake of it. You have to think about if they're really prepared to take on the role. But you always have to have an eye on the academy and assess things.
