Catalunya Radio say the captain will miss a month

He injured his hamstring in the win against Atletico

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta will be out for between three and four weeks after injuring his hamstring in the 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Iniesta had to be taken off just before half-time, with Andre Gomes taking his place. Catalunya Radio report that as a result he will be sidelined for up to a month, which rules him out of the Champions League game against Chelsea on March 14.

With Philippe Coutinho cup-tied, it leaves Barça boss Ernesto Valverde with a difficult decision to make for that game against the Premier League champions.

"Iniesta is a unique player, a little like [Leo] Messi, so it’s difficult to find a player who can replace him," Valverde said after the game.

"He's unique in the world with the characteristics he has. We will have to see the extent of the injury. He carried on playing so we thought it wasn’t too bad, but we’re not sure… He was playing incredibly."
