Ilaix Moriba called up for Barcelona B training camp in Vall d'en Bas
The midfielder will travel with the reserve team on the mini-tour in the north of Catalonia
Ilaix Moriba has been called up for Barcelona B's trip to Vall d'en Bas, although it doesn't mean contract negotiations have had a breakthrough.
The young midfielder has not trained with the first team in preseason as talks over a new deal between the club and his agents drag on.
Until there is an agreement, Barça have sent him to train with the B team. He's not featured in any first-team friendlies and has not been called up for either of Barça B's two games this summer, either.

However, that he will be one of the 26 players traveling to Vall d'en Bas does not mean he will play in the upcoming friendly matches for the B team.
In fact, the opposite is true. Barça's idea is that he does not feature in any friendlies until there is an agreement, regardless of whether that's with the B team or the first team.

Ilaix's current terms expire in 2022 and if he doesn't want to renew, the club would rather make money by offloading him this summer for a fee.
In addition, the good performances of young midfielders like Gavi and Nico Gonzalez with the first team this preseason have strengthened Barça's hand.
