Ibiza fans queue through the night to land tickets for Barça's visit

Supporters don't want to miss the Spanish champions' visit to the island

Hundreds of fans camped outside Ibiza's Can Misses stadium on Saturday to ensure they could buy tickets for Wednesday's Copa del Rey game against Barcelona. 

Tickets went on sale to socios on Saturday and on Sunday, at 10am local time, they were made available to the general public. 

Large queues formed on the street Campanitxas locals attempted to get their hands on a ticket for the visit of the Spanish champions in the last 32 of the competition. 

The first non-socios to get their tickets on Sunday informed local reporters that they had been queuing since 1pm on Saturday. 

Enry Cantos was one of the lucky ones. He described himself as a "lover of good football" who has his "heart divided" between Barça and Ibiza. "It's a really important game and it cannot be missed," he added. 

Another fan, Ignacio Cardona, said: "We had a good night here, all working together to make sure no one jumped in front. It didn't rain and it wasn't cold." 

Tickets cost 70 euros for the general public and 55 euros for socios. The capacity is around 4,500.
