How PSG are trying to seduce Memphis Depay
The Dutchman gets along with various heavyweights at the French club
FC Barcelona have found a tough opponent in the race for Lyon forward Memphis Depay. PSG have been following him for some time and with his contract up next summer, they have a plan. Per Le Parisien they will try and use the good relationship between Depay and Brazilian winger Neymar to tip the balance in their favour.
Ronald Koeman still wants the forward in the winter window but Barcelona may not have enough money for him and there is not consensus at the club about him.
PSG stars Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Marquinhos have a good relationship with Depay. The Dutchman was present at Neymar's birthday party in February.
"He appreciates Neymar a lot and I think that's reciprocated," someone close to Depay told Le Parisien. "There is a true mutual respect."
Depay, who also raps, would be well received as there are plenty of fans of it at PSG. He published his first album (the EP 'Heavy Stepper') last month.
