How Barca players' dinner went ahead of final two games
The club got together for some team-building and brotherhood
This Wednesday night, just before starting the last 'sprint' of the intensive period between October and early November, the Barça squad gathered at a great restaurant, Can Ferran, the same one where players went in Guardiola's golden era in charge, to spend time together before the last two fixtures prior to the World Cup, the first against Almeria at the Camp Nou next Saturday (9:00 p.m.) and the second at El Sadar, Osasuna's stadium.
Xavi and the players arrived at the dinner around nine o'clock at night. Ronald Araujo, in full recovery mode from his adductor tendon right thigh injury, arrived at the location by taxi. Ansu Fati was the last player to arrive when he entered the wrong door and Ter Stegen joked with the reporters when checking if his car was properly parked. The sporting director Jordi Cruyff, the coaching staff and the Barça communication team also made an appearance at the dinner.
The last players to leave went around midnight, almost after three hours at the dinner. The squad enjoyed themselves ahead of the World Cup.
