Ernesto Valverde has needed to adjust his lineup when more players became available but new signing Griezmann was the most-used (279 minutes) this summer

28 days of preseason is enough to find out a few things. To see which players have grown, which need to improve in certain areas and who is fitting in better with the team. FC Barcelona have played five matches in Kobe, Barcelona, Saitama, Miami and Michigan.

Even though they weren't competitive matches and it was mainly to improve fitness and experiment with certain players, you can still take some stats from them. One of those is simply seeing which footballers played the most minutes in each position.

EQUAL SHARE FOR THE GOALKEEPERS

Ernesto Valverde has made sure both his goalkeepers got the same amount of playing time. Neto and Ter Stegen played 45 minutes each in the first three matches, before Neto played the first leg against Napoli and ter Stegen the second leg. In the end it was 225 minutes for each keeper.

In the defensive line, Jordi Alba has played 242 minutes. Lenglet and Umtiti have 225 and 249 minutes respectively. Nelson Semedo, first choice on the right, has racked up 243 minutes.

Further forward, in midfield, Busquets played 225 minutes. New signing Frenkie de Jong has played the most, 250 minutes in total, whilst Rakitic has 225 minutes to his name.

GRIEZMANN LEADS THE WAY

In terms of the attack, with Leo Messi injured and Luis Suarez arriving back late, the minutes have mainly been shared between Ousmane Dembele (251) and Antoine Griezmann (279). Sergi Roberto, who has moved away from his makeshift right-back position, has been involved in 225 minutes. But it's clear that the new French forward is going to be a key figure in Valverde's team next season.
