Barça believe Bayern Múnich will take up their option to sign the Brazilian

Question marks still hang over the future of Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian is yet to fully establish himself in Bayern Munich's team and they haven't made a decision about signing the playmaker on a permanent basis. Coutinho is on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent for €120m.

Many players have recommended that Bayern sign Coutinho next summer. "Philippe is a super player. Bayern need a Brazilian in their team and Coutinho is world class," argued Rafinha. However, others are less convinced.

Liverpool and PSG have been rumoured to make an offer for his services should he return to Barça in the summer. Yet the plan at Barça HQ is to use Coutinho as a makeweight in any of the future mega-deals being lined up in order to reduce the cash required.

With Barça wanting to sign Neymar, it would be advantageous if they include Coutinho in a possible transfer as a way of sweetening the deal.
