Happy Birthday Barça! Catalan club celebrates 122 years of history
Barcelona will toast their birthday on Monday with the possibility of Ballon d'Or success
Barcelona celebrated turning 122 years old on Monday, November 29. It was in 1899 in the Sole gym that the club was first founded by Hand Gamper, who was the soul of the entity during the first 25 years of its existence.
Since then, Barça have become one of the biggest references in the sporting world and are the biggest multi-sport club in the world.
Barça are more than just a football team. There's also the basketball, handball, futbol sala, hockey teams and many more, all contributing to the 'Mes que un Club' motto.

Barça could celebrate their birthday by making more history. At the Ballon d'Or gala in Paris, two players formed in La Masia could be named the best players in the world: Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas.
Both are the favourites to win the award in their respective categories, while another Barça player, Perdi, is well positioned to claim the Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player in the world.
