The Catalan club believe they can do a deal for the in-demand Dortmund man

Erling Haaland is the most wanted striker on the market and Barcelona are more and more clear all the time that they could land his signature.

The club, after sounding out Haaland and his camp, are certain that the Borussia Dortmund forward wants to make the move to Camp Nou next season.

Haaland has been seduced by Barça's style of play and their new project, led by Xavi Hernandez and including some of the game's best young players.

For that reason, Barça believe they are the favourites to sign the Norway international this summer.

The Blaugrana have a plan to push the signing through, which could have a cost over several years of around 250 million euros. That includes the transfer fee, commission and salary of the player.

To come up with that money, Barça have several operations underway: one of them is with CVC, which could be closed in the coming weeks and another is the option fo selling 49 percent of Barça Studios for €350 million.

Rivals

Barça view Manchester City as their main rival. For two reasons: Haaland is also attracted by the possibility of playing for Pep Guardiola and because the Premier League side have more cash.

However, Barça don't see Real Madrid as a rival because they don't believe Florentino Perez will move for the Norwegian if he gets Kylian Mbappe.

And Barça have an ace up their sleeve. The player's agent, Mino Raiola, wants to take the player to Camp Nou.
