Haaland rejects huge offer from Man City to prioritise Spain move

The Premier League side have the financial muscle to do a deal for Haaland

The race to sign Erling Haaland is approaching an end, but there's still nothing certain. The Borussia Dortmund striker, though, has rejected a huge offer from Manchester City worth 28 million euros per season, according to Diario AS.

City have made a big play to sign Haaland and don't rule out increasing their offer, but at the moment there is no agreement between the two parties. Haaland has always prioritised playing in Spain and is waiting on Real Madrid and Barcelona's offers.

After failing to land Harry Kane last summer, City have moved for Haaland. They have the financial muscle to do the deal but they have not yet come up with an offer that the player is prepared to accept.

Haaland and his camp want to make a decision before the end of April. He will almost certainly leave Borussia Dortmund this summer and Madrid have been pressing hard in recent weeks.

Barça have gone as far as their financial situation will allow them and hope that Haaland will pick them because of the exciting project being built under new coach Xavi Hernandez at Camp Nou.

City are not out of the race, though, and will consider how to convince the striker to move to the Premier League. The decisive moment has arrived.
