Guardiola breaks silence on future to confirm he will stay with Man City

The coach had been linked with a return to Barcelona under Laporta

Joan Laporta is looking for a coach for Barcelona and, even though he dodged questions on Pep Guardiola on Friday, it's obvious he would love to have him back on the Camp Nou bench next season.

At the same time, Guardiola was speaking ahead of Saturday's Champions League final and reaffirmed that he is happy at Manchester City and not going anywhere.

Asked by Movistar if winning the Champions League -- or not -- could change his future plans, the Catalan coach was clear that it doesn't matter.

"No [it doesn't]," he said. "I am staying." Pressed on he issue, he again was clear: "No, I am staying for sure."

Following his comments, there is absolutely no chance of Guardiola returning to Barça this summer. His return will have to wait.

City face Chelsea in Saturday's final in Porto.
