Griezmann's justification for not returning to Atletico training

The French player did not show up on Sunday despite Atleti's demands

Atletico Madrid had called all their squad up on Sunday to turn up at  Cerro del Espino  (Madrid) to travel in the direction of Los Ángeles de San Rafael to start preseason training. Among those cited was Antoine Griezmann, but the France player didn't show and the bus left without him.

The Rojiblanco had called Griezmann in to put pressure on the player and even though he'd already released a video on social media explaining he's leaving the club in May, they could now punish him financially.

Griezmann is calm about the threat, though, as he has only had 26 days off. The player marks France's game against Andorra on June 11 as the final day of his 2018-19 season.

In the collective agreement of the football players, as is registered with the BOE, it is made clear that each player is entitled to 30 days of vacations: "Footballers have right to a paid annual vacations of 30 natural days, or of the proportional part which corresponds to them if they have been at the club for less than one year."
