The forward revealed all in a 45-minute documentary on Thursday

Now it's official: Antoine Griezmann will continue at Atletico Madrid and will not sign for FC Barcelona. The forward communicated his decision two days after giving a press conference with France in which he revealed nothing and two days before Les Bleus' debut in the World Cup (against Australia on Saturday).

The pressure put on him by Atletico has weighed more than the offer from FC Barcelona and after many days of uncertainty, Griezmann decided to stay where he is, as he did last summer when there was interest from Manchester United. This time, he's 'played' Barça, who thought they had a deal in place to sign him, although the silence in recent days led to doubts.

Barça wanted Griezmann to be their star signing this summer and to add competition for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, without forgetting the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho. Now, Barça have 100 million euros in their pocket which was destined to be spent on Griezmann, which was due to be his release clause from July 1.
