The France forward says they will get better the more they play together

Antoine Griezmann, the scorer of the first goal as Barcelona beat Villarreal on Tuesday, says that the team will keep getting better the more games they play.

"We had some chances to extend our lead but we didn't take them," he said to Movistar. "But we're going to keep on getting better. We can do much better than this. We have to keep on working hard. There are new players, we've just got here and we have to keep on working hard.2

In reference to what Barça are lacking at the moment, he added: "A lot of us have just got to the club. It's about adjusting to the style as quickly as possible. We're a long way from our best but with time we will keep getting better."

He recognised that it's different from what he was used to at Atletico Madrid: "The football is different. I knew it would be hard and that I would only get better with games. It's not going too badly, though. Three goals. Now to keep getting better. That's the path."

On Messi's injury, he couldn't give much information. "He had some discomfort," he said. "I don't know if anything else because we haven't had time to talk. I was with the coach listening to tactical orders."
