Neither midfielder has featured regularly under Barça coach Ronald Koeman

The Granada of Robert Moreno want to shop at Camp Nou. They have been in touch with Barcelona about Carles Aleña and have now asked about Riqui Puig, too.

Barça and coach Ronald Koeman are open to letting Puig leave to play minutes and continue his development, butt the young midfielder would prefer to stay and fight for a starting berth. There could be a meeting next week to discuss his future.

New Granada boss Moreno knows Barça well having coached at the club before, as does the Granada sporting director Pep Boada, who also worked in Catalonia.

Negotiations are at an advanced for Aleña, with the player happy to go on loan. To close the deal, though, Barça must first extend the midfielder's contract to avoid losing him for free next summer, although they would prefer a sale now.

As for Puig, Barça have received interest from all over Europe. Even Premier League teams have been in touch and there are four La Liga side keen.

Now it all depends on the player's decision. He knows Koeman is likely to leave him on the bench a lot, like last year, but has always been determined to stay in the past.
