The Manchester United midfielder could leave Old Trafford for free in six months

Juan Mata is on Barcelona's agenda, according to the website Goal. The midfielder, 31, who was at Real Madrid's academy, is out of contract at Manchester United in June and the Blaugrana are keeping an eye on his situation at Old Trafford.

As of today, with five months left on his deal, the Spain midfielder has not renewed with United. Even though he is earning eight million euros annually, Barça feel the fact they wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee would make him a bargain to strengthen in the middle.

With undoubted talent, good link up play and a great left foot, Mata is drawing interest from other clubs, such as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. According to The Mirror, Arsenal are also on the list of teams chasing him. Unai Emery would love to bring him in.

Mata's played 20 games this season, 11 from the start. He has scored three goals and is still a useful part of Solskjaer's squad.
