Getafe trying to temp Riqui Puig away from Barça
The Catalan midfielder has resisted leaving thus far and wants to make it at Camp Nou
Riqui Puig has a big market beyond Barcelona. Many offers have come to Barcelona, asking about his situation. He has not wanted to leave, though, trying to make it at the club he grew up at. Getafe are the last to ask, according to AS.
Quique Sanchez Flores has shown interest in the midfielder, with Carles Alena already shining there. The coach believes Riqui would add a lot.
The player has not changed his plans for the future, though. Even though he’s not playing a lot, he does not want to throw in the towel.
Riqui’s contract ends in June 2023 and until then it looks like he will keep trying to win his place.
