The left back will stay with the Madrid side and Barca retain 10% sale rights
It was a known 'secret' but on Tuesday it became official. Getafe used their option to buy on Marc Cucurella to keep the Barca defender for 10 million euros.
He has impressed at Getafe on the left side, often on the wing, and the club have pulled the trigger on the deal.
Barcelona retain 10% of the rights to his next sale, so could later make more money on the deal.
Cucu, who shone at Eibar last season, will turn 22 on July 22 and Transfermarkt has his value at 18m euros. He made his Barca debut in the Copa del Rey against Murcia on October 2017, his only game with the first team.
