During his Twitch conversation with Ibai Llanos, the centre back said that he expects to be fit by the end of the international break

In a Twitch conversation with Ibai Llanos, centre back Gerard Piqué reassured Barça's fans that the injury he suffered in the game against Athletic Club was no more than "a little scare" and stated that he would be ready to return to action after the international break.

"The injury I picked up was just a little scare, nothing more. I won't be fit this weekend's match [against Getafe] but I'll be available for selection after the international break", he said. With Eric García also due to miss the game through suspension, Ronald Koeman must choose between Clément Lenglet, Ronald Araujo, Óscar Mingueza and Samuel Umtiti in the heart of defence, with the latter due to remain at the club this season.

When asked for his thoughts about the season so far, Piqué said "I am happy with the way we have started".
