Gerard Pique goes to vote in Catalan independence referendum
Gerard Pique is one of the Catalans who was able to vote on Sunday
Pique in theory will be playing for Barcelona vs Las Palmas later in the day
FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has exercised his right to vote for a referendum for Catalan independence on Sunday. There is tension across the region as police try to stop people voting, but Pique was able to.
Pique, who came out in favour of a referendum a few days ago, also said "This is a disgrace" in rerference ot the Spanish state trying to prevent democracy.
Pique posted a tweet saying "I've voted. Together we are unstoppable defending democracy".
