Gerard Pique could help bring Dani Parejo to Barcelona

Dani Parejo has been on Barcelona's radar for a long time, and the player himself said it a year ago - that he had the chance to join when Valverde was in charge.
Now AS say that Gerard Pique could pave the way for him to join the club. According to the newspaper, Pique has been guiding Parejo's career for years.
Parejo would be a good replacement for Sergio Busquets if he departs, which current indications suggest is likely.
Parejo is only a year younger than Busquets at 34 but his name has come up. The key is that Dani Parejo's agent is the former agent of Pique, Arturo Canales. It seems that Pique, a couple of seasons ago, agreed with Parejo an unwritten commitment to bring him to Barca one day.
