Georginio Wijnaldum will sign for Barca until 2024
The Dutch midfielder has chosen the Catalans and is going to be announced per Fabrizio
Georginio Wijnaldum will become a Barcelona player in the coming days. The Dutch midfielder, whose contract with Liverpool is expiring, has decided to come to Camp Nou.
Per journalists Fabrizio Romano, Wijnaldum will agree a deal with Barca until 2024. The midfielder will also lower his salary from his current level at Liverpool, conscious that Barca are struggling economically.
In the coming days his arrival is going to be announced and he’ll play with his team-mates in pre-season.
Coach Ronald Koeman was keen on signing Wijnaldum last summer and has still been pushing for his arrival. It might increase the chances of Koeman being kept on, which for now seems the most likely course of action.
