Gavi taken off with adductor after clash with Athletic's Garcia
The Barcelona midfielder did not make it to half time as Barça won 4-0
Gavi set off all the alarms at Barcelona after a late tackle by Dani García forced him to leave the pitch in the 32nd minute of Sunday's 4-0 against Athletic Club.
However, after the first tests, an injury has been ruled out at the Barça club, who say the midfielder took "a strong blow to the adductor" and will undergo further tests on Monday.
Garcia hit Gavi with disproportionate forcefulness both in the leg and in the face of the Barça player, who was left lying on the ground and could not continue despite trying to at first.
The knock came at the end of a week in which Gavi, 18, had won the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy award.
