Garcia Pimienta kicks off over Ronald Koeman's style
The former B team coach is not impressed with what he is seeing
Garcia Pimienta does not recognise this Barcelona, under Ronald Koeman. The former B team coach spoke on Cadena SER about the 1-1 draw with Granada and the previous defeat by Bayern Munich.
“The problem last Tuesday was Barcelona played something they shouldn’t defensively, and yesterday in attack,” said Garcia Pimienta. “The players aren’t used to doing what they did on Tuesday or what they did yesterday.”
He did not stop there. “We know what profile Koeman has. He has his idea of football. He wants to win games, and does it in the best way he thinks is possible. Both in attack and defence we are not seeing the Barcelona that we want.”
Garcia Pimienta has always been a faithful defender of the ‘Barca style’. So right now, he is not happy. He was sacked and replied by Sergi Barjuan a few months ago.
