Frenkie de Jong wants to retire at FC Barcelona

Frenkie de Jong has not yet played for Barcelona as he is still at Ajax and wants to leave them with titles. However he is still imagining his lift at the Catalan club and the career he may have.

The Dutch midfielder, who chose Barcelona after being visited by Josep Maria Bartomeu on a lightning trip, is excited to get going. He told Het Kontakt about the long career he is hoping to spend at Barcelona.

“I’m very happy for having signed a five year deal,” said the player. “If I am successful there, it’s likely I will never leave, like Messi.”

That someone who has not played a game for the club or come through La Masia wants to spend his whole career at the club has its merit.
