The former Barça player says the Dane has the quality to play at Camp Nou

Eriksen has a contract with his club, Tottenham, until the summer of 2020

While there has still been no confirmation regarding who could replace Luis Enrique as Barcelona manager, there are already several names cropping up with regards to possible signings for next season.

The most recent is Christian Eriksen, one of the stars of Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham side. And a former Barcelona player, Frank de Boer, assures that the talented Dane is ready to make the move to a team like the Blaugrana.

Speaking to Danish newspaper 'Ekstra Bladet' -- as reported by the 'Daily Express' -- De Boer says the 25-year-old has everything needed to fit in and be a success at Camp Nou.

"I think he could have a wonderful career," De Boer said, underlining his progression "began at Ajax, then at Tottenham and after that he will do it at the highest level."

The Dutch coach, currently without a club, feels Eriksen "is ready to take a step forward" because "he has everything he needs to be a Barcelona player."

Talking in more depth about his qualities, De Boer says that Eriksen has "good vision, work ethic, can shoot well and is good with both feet."

GoAl & asSists

Christian Eriksen is one of the standout players at Spurs, who are second in the Premier League and were beaten in the FA Cup semifinal by Chelsea at the weekend.

He has scored 11 goals and provided 20 assists. They're numbers which appear even more spectacular when you keep in mind he'd a midfield player, not an out and out forward.

That's what has caught the attention of Barça, who are looking to revamp the squad for the post Luis Enrique era.

De Boer knows the Danish international well given he coached hum for three years at Ajax, before he was sold to Spurs for 18 million euros in the summer of 2013 -- he has a contract until 2020.
