Franck Kessie arrives in Barcelona trailing doubts and rumours about his future

Franck Kessie will land in Barcelona this weekend shrouded by rumours about his future. Juventus (according to reports in Italy) bidding hard, with an alleged offer from Arabia and several other interested parties in England.
As we have been reporting at SPORT, the Ivorian is having a busy last week of holidays in his country. He has participated in several events of his foundation (Fondation Franck Kessie), the last one in the company of the president of Ivory Coast Alassane Ouattara. He launched an initiative called 'Pro c'est Pro', in which the best player of the local championship was given a car worth 30,000 euros.
Franck also previously took part in a friendly match with other African international stars against a team from the Ivorian league. Whenever he can, he goes back to his roots, to his home in Abidjan, to disconnect and help his people.
IN BARCELONA... FOR HOW LONG?
He is scheduled to join training on Monday, along with the rest of the squad who have not yet done so (Kounde, Dembélé, Ter Stegen, Lewandowski, Gavi, etc). Barça expedition leaves for the tour of the United States on Tuesday. And there are still doubts as to whether Xavi will finally take the Ivorian with him or whether he will stay in Barcelona to sort out his future.
XAVI: HE KNOWS HIS SITUATION
The coach from Terrassa said recently at an event: "I have spoken to Franck and he already knows the situation".
He was not more explicit although it did not sound too good for the African's interests. The arrival of Gündogan, the more than likely arrival of Oriol Romeu and the evident interest in another midfielder player (Lo Celso, Bernardo Silva or whoever) could close the doors to the player.
The fact that he arrived for free all the sale proceedings would be net profit doesn't 'help' him either. We will have to wait and see.
