The Portuguese winger did not fit in well at Barca and Koeman barely used him by the end

FC Barcelona have loaned Francisco Trincao to Wolves for the season ahead. He did not thrive at Barca or get the minutes that he wanted at the club.

Wolves will pay his salary and have a non obligatory option to buy, said to be worth 29 million euros.

It’s the third player Barca have moved on this summer, following Todibo to Nice and Konrad to Marseille. Despite not getting a fee for him, moving any wages off the wage bill is a boost for Barca.

The Portuguese forward struggled to make an impact, particularly when Ronald Koeman switched to a system without wingers. At Wolves he will get more chances and there are many Portuguese footballers on the books so he will feel right at home.
