Deschamps does not want personal issues hanging over the squad during the World Cup

France coach Didier Deschamps has asked Antoine Griezmann and Thomas Lemar to clarify their futures before the start of the World Cup in Russia next week.

According to the French media, Deschamps has given the duo the ultimatum because he doesn't want the speculation about their future to affect the camp during the finals.

Deschamps, who has just renewed his contract with France, wants complete calm among the squad. The ultimatum runs until Sunday, one day after France's friendly against the United States, their final game before the World Cup.

The France coach doesn't want external problems being brought inside. He wants his players focused on the national team, not on their personal issues.

Griezmann must decide whether to accept Barça's offer -- the Catalan club are willing to pay his 100 million euro release clause on July 1 -- or continue with Atletico Madrid.

Monaco attacking midfielder Lemar, meanwhile, has been linked with a number of different European sides.
