The Dutch coach gets his compatriots and the French back in action

Barcelona’s week started with a training session under suffocating heat. Now Ronald Koeman is putting his foot on the gas and increasing the physical load with friendlies also getting underway on Wednesday.

Tuesday will be a day of changes. It’s the first double session of the summer, while the Dutch and French players return after three weeks of holiday following Euro 2020.

All eyes will be on Memphis Depay as he meets his team-mates for the first time. Frenkie de Jong will also be back, along with French duo Griezmann and Lenglet.

The next to arrive will be Ronald Araujo, who was knocked out of the Copa America in July but he might choose to shorten his holidays and get back to training.

None of the new arrivals will likely feature against Nastic. They will get minutes against Girona on Saturday, at 7pm. Barca’s first session is at 9.15am local time while the afternoon one begins at 6pm.

Once the players are back from international duty we’ll also see which Barca B players have impressed Koeman and which get sent back to the B team.
