Four coaches on the table for Joan Laporta as he looks for Koeman replacement

The Dutch coach must be sacked in the coming days and Laporta has these options

There are four names on Joan Laporta’s table as Ronald Koeman replacements. Koeman’s time is up and the president much choose between Roberto Martinez, Andrea Pirlo, Xavi Hernandez and ‘Muneco’ Gallado.

Per RAC1, the latter is the most likely to take over, currently without a team after leaving River Plate. He had a great time there and now wants to come to Europe to coach.

Laporta had a meeting until 4am with his assistants and knows he has to make a change. Xavi is currently at Al Sadd and could be tempted, even though he doesn’t have a free release clause for Barcelona.

He’d be liked in the dressing room but maybe not in the board. Laporta wanted him to take over Barça B first.

Martinez is coach of Belgium and he will take charge of them for the Nations League final four, before potentially arriving after that.

Pirlo is also free after being axed by Juventus last season, winning Italy’s Copa and Super Cup but they were knocked out by Porto in the Champions League and off the pace in Serie A.
