The Spain international makes his first start in almost one year against Valencia

Ansu Fati starts for Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday in the LaLiga game against Valencia. It comes 344 days after his last start for the club.

The young forward, who returned from a 10 month injury layoff last month, will play alongside Memphis Depay in attack for the Catalan side.

Ansu, 18, returned to action as a substitute against Levante on Sept. 26, scoring off the bench in a comfortable win for Ronald Koeman's side.

He has since appeared as a substitute in the defeats to Benfica (23 minutes) in the Champions League and Atletico Madrid (27 minutes) in LaLiga.

Since then, he's had the international break to further improve his fitness, which included a run out in the friendly against Cornella in midweek.

In total, it has been 344 days since he last started for Barça. In concrete, on Nov. 7 2020 in a win against Real Betis, when he picked up the injury.
