Flags at half mast at Camp Nou after Diego Maradona dies
Barcelona paid tribute to their former player by lowering flags at the stadium
FC Barcelona expressed their sadness for the death of Diego Armando Maradona on Wednesday. And on Thursday the club paid tribute to their former player by lowering flags to half mast.
Maradona wore the Barca shirt between 1982-84. He arrived after winning the league with Boca Juniors and ended his time at the club by going to Napoli. Maradona suffered hepatitis at Barca and later a bad ankle injury after an awful tackle by Andoni Goicoetxea.

Maradona did show he was a genius player though, like his Clasico goal against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, or the strike against Red Star. The former even drew some applause from Madrid fans.
