The Uruguayan made his first Barça appearance on Oct. 25, 2014 against Real Madrid

Friday marks the fifth anniversary of Luis Suarez's official debut for FC Barcelona. The Uruguayan striker has since scored 184 goals in 257 games for the Catalan clubs and has won 13 trophies (four leagues, four Copas del Rey, one Champions League, one European Super Cup, one Club World Cup and two Spanish Super Cups).

Suarez, 32, made his debut at the Santiago Bernabeu after completing a three-month FIFA ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup. That meant he missed 11 games (eight in La Liga and three in the Champions League) as he waited to make his bow after joining from Liverpool.

When his debut eventually arrived, on Oct. 25, 2014,  it wasn't a memorable occasion. He played on the right of the front three as Barça were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Spanish capital.

Despite that, that season, and his Barça career, has been marked by success and goals. His performances have more than matched his 81 million transfer fee.
