Five players missing from Barcelona training on Wednesday
Ter Stegen, Arthur, Lenglet, Griezmann & De Jong all missed the session with permission of the club
Barcelona returned to training on Wednesday after a day off but five players were missing from the session, all with permission from coach Ernesto Valverde, who called up seven B team players for the workout.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Arthur, Clement Lenglet, Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong were all absent as Barça began to think about Saturday's visit from Mallorca.
Remember that Ter Stegen, Griezmann and De Jong were all at the Ballon d'Or gala in Paris on Monday. The Dutch midfielder then traveled to Amsterdam to visit his parents.
To cover these absences, Valverde used B teamers Iñaki Peña, Ronald Araujo, Riqui Puig, Álex Collado, Kike Saverio, Carles Pérez and Ansu Fati to make up the numbers.
Barça's next game is against Mallorca at Camp Nou on Saturday (21h). They go into the match on the back of an impressive 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.
