Coronavirus also took its toll on the FC Barcelona first-team squad. According to a report on RAC1, a total of five players and two members of the coaching staff tested positive for having carried COVID-19.

All of the cases were detected when Barça underwent the first round of testing earlier in May. They all would have been asymptomatic and, evidently, at this stage have left the virus behind.

Barça's players were able to return to individual training and this week have returned to full training, following two weeks of working in groups of up to 14.

Quique Setien's side are working towards the return of LaLiga on June 11, although Barça's campaign won't begin until June 13, when they play away against Mallorca (10pm).
