The Brazil striker is available as a free agent this summer

Roberto Firmino has reached an agreement to sign for FC Barcelona next season, once his contract with Liverpool ends this June, according to the British newspaper the 'Daily Mail'. Barça, therefore, would reinforce their attack with an incorporation at zero cost, since the Brazilian would arrive as a free agent.

The Blaugrana need to add goals and their priority is to sign Vitor Roque, although they could open the door to players such as Firmino or Aubameyang if the cost of the Brazilian teenager is too expensive. If they go for an older striker, Aubameyang would also be an option, provided he comes for free. That is not guaranteed, though, as he has a contract with Chelsea.

Firmino, though, has confirmed he will being an end to eight seasons at Anfield this summer, where he became part of one of the best frontlines of the 21st century, alongside Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp's side lifted the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020. The English team were hoping to receive the green light for the striker's renewal, but have been met with a refusal.

The 31-year-old has played 33 games this season, finding the back of the net 11 times and providing five assists. However, his role in the team is no longer the same and he has not completed a game since October.
