Ferran Torres jokes he will "kidnap" Dembele to keep him at Barça
The French forward is in the final few months of his deal at Camp Nou
Ferran Torres joked he would "kidnap" teammate Ousmane Dembele in order to keep him at Barcelona beyond the end of the season.
Dembele's current contract expires in June and Barça held talks with his agent this week over a new deal, but there is no agreement yet.
Speaking ahead of Thursday's Europa League tie against Eintracht Frankfurt, Torres was asked if he thinks Dembele should remain at Camp Nou.
"I would kidnap him in Barcelona," he smiled. "He's differential, one of the best in the world. Barça's a good club to be at, although there are somethings that do not concern us.
"[Dembele] will make his own decision. Whatever he decides, I wish him the best."
Barça face Frankfurt in the first leg this week, with the second leg taking place at Camp Nou next Thursday.
"The team's motivated," Torres added. "It's an important game, it's the first time we've played at this stadium and we're excited to go for the win."
Torres joined Barça in January from Manchester City and he explained that "[coach] Xavi Hernandez has transmitted total confidence in me from the first day, he's been very important for my adaption.
"I am still in that process [of adapting], but I am in good form and I am helping the team."
